Work out your dose in syringe units
Three quick questions — your bottle, your water, your dose — and the calculator tells you exactly where to pull the plunger.
Answer the three questions
- 1Open the Calculator page and choose Single Peptide
- 2Question 1 — your bottle. Press the number printed on the vial's label: 5 for a 5 mg vial
- 3Your first tap brings the calculator into focus — centered with the rest of the screen dimmed, or full screen on a phone — and the button you tapped still works
- 4Label in mcg or IU instead? Press the unit to change it
- 5Press Next
- 6Question 2 — the water you mixed in, in mL. Most people use 2
- 7Question 3 — how much you want to take in one injection. On a computer you can type the number on your keyboard too
- 8Press See result — Draw to is the mark to pull the plunger to on a standard insulin syringe
- 9Click outside it — or press Esc, or Close on a phone — to put it back in the page, answers kept
The three questions
Bottle, water, dose — then the mark to draw to.
Send the result to yourself
- 1Start from a result
- 2Press Share — at the top, or the share key on the keypad. It wakes up once you have a result
- 3Your share sheet opens with the result already written in. Choose Messages
- 4Send it to yourself so the number is handy when you inject
- 5The message holds your bottle, your water, your dose, and the units to draw to
Sharing a result
The result, sent as a message — exactly the text the calculator writes.

Units are insulin-syringe units: on a standard syringe, 100 units = 1 mL. The mL amount shows beside the units.
IU and mg are separate systems. Keep your bottle and your dose in the same one — the calculator converts between them only for a peptide with its own conversion factor, and says so when it can't.
A result over 100 units is more than one full syringe — the calculator tells you when that happens.
Where a device has no share sheet, Share copies the result instead and shows Copied to clipboard.
Every calculator on the site works this way: the first tap brings it into focus, and stepping back out keeps your answers.
